Architecture

Thirteen years of architecture experience in Perú: buildings, urban subdivision and property registry work. I co-founded and ran Prototype Arquitectos in Lima, leading projects as both project manager and architect.

Today I build software in Germany. My professional roots are in Lima; the experience travels with me.

13 years
Of experience (8 as a licensed architect), from graduating university in 2008 to leaving Perú in 2021.
200,000+ m²
Of covered floor area in the technical dossiers I was in charge of.

Scope of work

  1. Technical dossiers & municipal licensing

Complete technical dossiers, for permits and for construction: developing the architecture and coordinating every engineering discipline.

  2. From a fast-food unit to a 19-floor retail and residential complex

From a 165 m² drive-thru to mid-rise housing with three basements and a ~93,000 m² mixed-use complex. Complexity was never the problem.

  3. Typologies

Big-box retail, mixed-use, multifamily housing, a university building on an occupied campus, a hotel and many fast-food restaurants for international brands.

  4. Urban subdivision

Subdivision dossiers for residential estates, revised through successive lot schemes.

  5. Title & registry regularization

As-built conformity, declarations of built works and unit independization, up to territorial analysis of a 1,000 ha lot and a 197 ha university campus.

  6. Large public projects

Architecture specialist on large state projects such as the new judicial headquarters of the Lima Superior Court of Justice and the new building for Perú's National Superintendence of Migration. Though they could not be completed, the experience of designing them remains.

I was the technical lead of my firm in Lima: I documented our processes so I could delegate, defended every project before the authorities and reviewed everything that went out. Today I live in Germany and don't practise as an architect, but if any of this resonates with what you're building, I'd love to talk.
